How we rank

What the numbers on this site actually mean.

We score recruitment companies based on their business model and risk-bearing capabilities. Firms that offer guarantees, such as replacement guarantees, score higher because they share risk with employers. We also assess pricing transparency and the clarity of their fee structures. This ensures that employers can trust the financial terms of the engagement.

Our shortlist is re-ranked by location and industry. We consider each firm's presence and success in specific markets. For example, a firm with strong local connections in a particular state may rank higher for employers in that region. Similarly, a firm with deep expertise in a niche industry will outrank generalists for those roles.

Editorial independence is key. We do not accept payment for rankings. Each firm is re-scored per market based on objective criteria, including client satisfaction and placement success. This allows local and niche specialists to rise to the top where they genuinely fit, providing a fair and useful comparison for employers.

Guarantees, specialization, and pricing transparency are critical factors in our evaluation. A replacement guarantee shows confidence in candidate quality. Specialization indicates deeper industry knowledge. Transparent pricing helps employers budget effectively. We prioritize these attributes because they directly impact the success and cost-effectiveness of your hiring.
